After considering content and cost, which of the following repair manuals would you reccommend-
A) Haynes
B) Chilton
C) Factory Shop Manual
D) OtherRepair manual survey!?
If you are looking for general information and how to do basic repair, Chilton or Haynes are good for the money. I recommend the cheapet or easiest to find. If you need more specific or in depth information, nothing beats the factory shop manual. There are times Chilton/Haynes says the repair is too complicated, take it to a shop. Very frustratng if you just want to do it yourself. The factory manual is more expensive but can pay for itself if you can do the more complicated repairs that Chilton/Haynes send you to the shop to have done.
C and B. C because it's very specific, can get it at autozone.com look for AllData. B because it has lots of pictures and it's portableRepair manual survey!?
b
chilton and factory but i would go to chilton firstRepair manual survey!?
Chilton
factory shop manual
more specific not general info.
From personal experience I would recommend either Haynes or Chilton. The factory shop manuals are written for factory certified mechanics and are also more expensive. The Haynes and Chilton are easier to understand and have more illustrations.
