The interchange is 2001 through 2005 DX or LX type.Changing a front wheel drive engine is not the type of job to undertake at home.Any good shop can find a good used engine for that car.Make sure you get at least a 90 day warranty.I have a good used engine for your car,our yard is in Houston.You can find one locally on car-part.com...search by distanceIf you're in the Houston area,post back here...we can even do the installation.2002 honda civic lx 1.7 lt engine replacement?
I would recommend taking it to a mechanic. There is a lot of work involved in switching out an engine. You can't just "swap it" out. You may have to get the block machined, for one. Good luck. Try a Chilton's manual instead. Haynes are not as good.
