does it go to the positive terminal of the battery? the vehicle is a 98 s10 i have a haynes repair manual but it doesnt have a diagram.Where does the cable on the back of an alternator go?
The main red big wire that connects to the back of a Chevy alternator, is a live 12 volt from the battery.
Don't ground it out.
