Help with car disconnected hoses '83 Buick Riviera (pics included)?

I just bought a 1983 buick riviera V8 and it runs really really good. But, being an old car there are a lot of things under the hood that seem to be worn out or disconnected, and i do not know where to connect them or even if they need to be connected somewhere. Please help if you know where these connect to..

-should the tubes circled in yellow be connected to each other? it pops right in there but i dont know for sure. (it leads to the red arrow)

*Thanks in advance for your help. I bought th Haynes Repair Manual but it isn't in there or at least i can't find it. And i'm hesitant on taking it to a shop because I've had bad experience with con artists in the past and it seems like an easy fix that they'll charge a lot for.Help with car disconnected hoses '83 Buick Riviera (pics included)?
