What branch of the Military is best for staying in one spot and not transferring?

I am trying to figure this out; and I'd like to join the military, but i have a plan with several friends after high school to go to college for a few (4-5 tops) after high school. And id like to not be moving around as when i do get a family, I dont want to give them the trouble im facing of losing friends every 4 sometimes 2 years. What branch of the Military is best for staying in one spot and not transferring?Salvation Army.

ten bucks says your 'Plans" will change within a year of graduating high school.

the world does not end if you PCS. they have these wonderful things called phones, and internet now that allows you to keep in touch with friends and family no matter where you are. What branch of the Military is best for staying in one spot and not transferring?
It's very unlikely you'd be able to find a branch or even job that wouldn't require you to travel at all. I think you can do reserves and drill, and not move around much though. If you go full active duty you'll probably end up traveling, that's all there is to it really. I mean you could shoot for a branch that has bases near you and then hope for the best, but that's kind of like playing the lottery and most likely against your odds. What branch of the Military is best for staying in one spot and not transferring?Reserves is the role you may deploy but you will be stationed in one place, the other option is once in the reserves switch to active reserves. You are a reservist that works and retires like active duty, you work full time to support the rest of the reservists. What branch of the Military is best for staying in one spot and not transferring?
Your only option to not move alot of to join the Guard or the Reserves instead of going Active Duty. What branch of the Military is best for staying in one spot and not transferring?border patrol
