I can't find my Haynes! I already have a 79 Bronco 4 x 4, and I'm about to acquire a 79 F250 from a relative in another state....a new restore project. I know that I used a website to find the factory lug pattern on my Bronco before I bought it, but now I can't find it either?!?! Starting simple with bare bones plans to get it home, and tires and rims come first just to be able to load it onto a trailer obviously, so I need to plan here. I need to know if it came with 5 or 6 lugs, and pattern.
Does anyone have a spec sheet on this model, or know where I can download or access one? Oh-and this truck is 4 wheel drive as well-but I don't want to make the costly assumption that it will be the same as my Bronco since it's a 250. The ideal would be to be able to find a repair manual online-one can dream, right?

Wheels between the two will not interchange as your Bronco has 5 studs and the F 250 has 8. I have no idea whether or not your F 250 is 4wd or not but I can tell you this. If you get wheels from a junk yard, get them from another Ford or a Dodge. If you get ones from a Chevy , the centers are too small and will not fit over the outside of your hubs. Then you will either have to take them back or widen the center hole with a cutting torch.
another thing to note... ford changed the bolt pattern when they started making the super duty in 1997... changed it to a metric 170 8 lug pattern from the 6.5" 8 lug... so anything before that youre good for wheels
