Of the four branches of our military, which branch of service is superior when it comes to Leadership? And why?
Please, no personal opinions based on personal pride.
Thank you!Which branch of the military is considered to be superior when it comes to Leadership?By the way there are 5 branches of the military not 4.
Since no one has covered us, I would suggest the Coast Guard.
We have a lot of missions, with very few resources. From Iraq, to Search and Rescue we are spread thin. We drive leadership education in the Coast Guard. It is done at every level, Officer, Chief and junior enlisted.
Does anybody remember Hurricane Katrina? FEMA had trouble running the rescue op, so the Gov't had our Admiral Allen take command because of the Coast Guard's Leadership and Management skills and knowlege of NIMS/ICS.
We promote both positional leadership and managerial leadership.
Having said that, all the services have fine leadership programs. Marines leadership in battle, Air Force technological leadership, Navy (similar leadership style to the CG), Army mass scale leadership.Which branch of the military is considered to be superior when it comes to Leadership?
I always heard that the Marines are supposed to be the best of the best. They were in every war and played a big part in every war. Although every branch of the U.S Military fights bravely and has great leadership, the Marines are the original.Which branch of the military is considered to be superior when it comes to Leadership?I would say that all branches offer basic leadership, but inside those branches like the Navy Seals, Delta Force, or the Army Rangers will give you the best leadership experiences...
That would be the navy of course. The navy is in charge of itself and the marines.Which branch of the military is considered to be superior when it comes to Leadership?all branches leads in there own wayWhich branch of the military is considered to be superior when it comes to Leadership?
The best commander in U.S. history was in the U.S. Marines. He was Chesty Puller. Puller fought multiple rebellions in Haiti and Nicaragua during the late 1910's and early 1920's. He fought in every battle he could during WW2. He was in the landing of Inchon, took back the South Korean capital, commanded his Marines when they were surrounded in the mountains, and then fought his way out. Every Marine who served under was worshiped only as second to God himself.
MacArthur and Patton were good too, but they don't have as much experience, and didn't rise from a private like Chesty did.
Without Chesty, the Army would have definitely had better Leaders.
The Navy buddy., we're taught not to be followers but to be leaders and think outside of the box from the very beg ginning. Most other services follow without asking questions., we followed our leaders and constantly criticized their decisions whether it be in our mind or verbally and tried to find easier ways to do everything. It made our leaders better that they could take the criticism and made us better thinkers.Which branch of the military is considered to be superior when it comes to Leadership?
Well of course people are going to give you their person opinion, what do you expect. The fact of the matter is that each service provides any individual with the structure to be a leader. There have been great leaders in every branch of the service going back to the start of our history. Is one branch "better" than the others, of course not. I was in the Army but at the end of the day we all serve our country equally.
Oh, by the way leadership is not just a military thing. While most of our politicians are basically selfish there have been many notable exceptions.
There is more than 4 branches of military. But, for Leadership qualities it would be Marines.
Airforce. They are the most expensive branch, they are the most destructive and capable, fastest form of attack and most technologically advanced.
