Im thinking about the Army's green berets or the Air forces para rescue but I'm open to other branches my main goal is to help people in the most effective way possible and i am planning on joining the military no matter what just need a little help deciding on what branch and what exactly to doWhat branch of the military should i join if i wanna help the most people?Either of those selections are good.... it will be VERY difficult to get there..... both are VERY selective
Recommend one other MOS 38B..... Civil Affairs .... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Affai鈥?/a>
As a Civil Affairs officer....I built schools, built playgrounds, built roads and bridges, medical clinics , repaired irrigation systems, established fire fighting / prevention programs..... I saved lives, improved health, relieved drought victims, the options to "help" people are only limited by your imagination and resources.... it is the compassionate side of fighting terrorism
THUMBS DOWN... GREAT....I love it when you spend your time trying to hurt me.....that is why I leave my profile open.... so you can waste your time on me.....and leave other people alone .... enjoy yourselfWhat branch of the military should i join if i wanna help the most people?
The PJs motto is "that others may live". this means they puts their lives on the line so that others..may....live...
The green beret's motto is something in latin basically meaning to free the oppressed. they specialize in training indigenous people how to be soldiers so they can present a formidable fighting force against there assumed totalitarian government or whatever.
So, PJs may have to kill, but their goal is simply to rescue other humans. GB's goal is to train others to kill and be effective soldiers.
I would say the best way to directly help people is Pararescue. But, if you want to help improve the lives of hundreds of thousands indirectly, i would say GB.
Keep in mind, they are both hard core mutha effin special forces so either way you are setting big goals for yourself. Good luck. What branch of the military should i join if i wanna help the most people?Depending on your definition of helping the most people, Army Civil Affairs, or any of the Medical Service Corps of the military will do a lot more direct helping of people.
Army Civil Affairs are the people who do the reconstruction after the conflict and help with disaster relief efforts.
In the Medical Service Corps of all the services, you go on MEDCAPs to other countries and provide medical treatement to countries much like Doctors Without Borders tries to do, but the military has more capability and ability to get places.
Coast Guard! They rescue people on a daily bases. One of their main missions is search and rescue.
Being an Army's green berets or Air forces para rescue is not going to help people in the most effective way possible. First that is not the Army's green berets job and Air forces para rescue only helps out other military. What branch of the military should i join if i wanna help the most people? If you want to combine the "military" and "helping people" you should consider two choices:
Coast Guard - obviously helps boaters and others in distress - and assist during natural disasters such as Katrina
Army National Guard - During times of peace you would be activated in a "state of emergency" by your state's governor and would help with natural disasters. What branch of the military should i join if i wanna help the most people?
Coast Guard is the best!
If you want special ops and help people your best bet is Air Force Para Rescue. Those guys are the best of the best, and plus you get the awesome benefits of the AF (housing, food, etc)
But you better be prepared, the PJ's have a 90percent drop out rate, it is very intense. Start preparing for the P.A.S.T test. go to specialtactics.com to find requirements. This has to be past before you can go.
Good luck.
Thanks for the thumbs down jack @$#!! You asked and I gave my honest opinion, appreciate that!! Enjoy your day!!!What branch of the military should i join if i wanna help the most people?
You want to help people? be a medic. A navy corpsman probably gets to do more work than an Army doc since the navy is more deployable and they attach corpsman to Marine units who go all over the place.
you are in for a rude awakening
ur 2 picks are good
