Hi i got a (1995 Z28 LT1 A4) anyways i recently installed a (192 degree thermostat) i bought from autozone?

and im getting a (high operating temperature) anyways i was thinking about getting a (160 degree thermostat ) and install that one just because i figure the quicker the thermostat cools the engine the better for the car right and you get some more horsepower from a (160 degree thermostat) right? but also is it safe and or normal to run a (160 thermostat in a 95 Z28) see its not a (weekend drag car) it is my daily driver however i just like to murder the little ricers when they try to show off near me and also it says in the haynes repair manual that the thermostat opening temperature should be between (185-205 degrees) see my orignal thermostat was stuck/broken so i put in the 192 degree one thats currently in the car but im really considering the 160-180 degree thermostat hey and what was the stock temperature thermostat for the 1995 Z28 and which would you go with? also heres a picture of the (high operating temperature) the (192 degree temperature thermostat) is giving me heres the link to the picture-----%26gt; http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh206/camtheman88_2008/PICT0001.jpgHi i got a (1995 Z28 LT1 A4) anyways i recently installed a (192 degree thermostat) i bought from autozone?
Flush your radiator.

The thermostat is NOT the problem.

Coolant flow is insufficient through the radiator, or lack of air flow through the radiator is the problem.

If you use a thermostat that opens too soon, the engine will never go into "closed loop" and will run too rich and crappy.

190 Deg. Thermostat.

Maybe you gage is wrong???Hi i got a (1995 Z28 LT1 A4) anyways i recently installed a (192 degree thermostat) i bought from autozone?
the actual thermostate rating does not make any differents, like your 160 degree only applies getting up to the 160, after that your car will still run at 200 0r what ever it runs at .If you have overheating problems it will be some examples, radiator flushing out, incorrect timing, radiator, surround, shroud not sealing correct, clutch fan, or electric fan not working properly, correct anti freeze mixture, correct tension belts, etc.Hi i got a (1995 Z28 LT1 A4) anyways i recently installed a (192 degree thermostat) i bought from autozone?
175 to 185 Degrees what you need to buy and when you install it Make sure it's Centered in the Housing and if you lube the Gasket Use White Grease or Anti-Seize ONLY. Is the Radiator Clean in and Out, Radiator Fins are Straight (75%) and Coolant Mixture is Right (50-50 Clean Water %26amp; Anti-Freeze.

"Is that a Picture of your ""High"" temp Gauge?" Sitting Low, Should be at Half!
i think i would go with the spec in the manual.or go back to autozone and ask them for some help.
