Putting In A New Engine Block......?

I Have A 1987 Ford 3/4 Ton F250 Truck With A 4.9 Long Block That Has Fuel Injection.I Am Buying A New Long Block For The Engine.I Have Pulled The Motor Out,Completely Stripped The Block And Am Waiting To Pick Up The New Block On Monday. Can Anyone Please Tell Me What Steps To Take To Put The Parts Back Together and What Parts Are Gonna Be Torqued. Also What Type Of Torque Wrench Would Be Best For My Project.I Have Purchased The Ford Haynes Repair Manual Based On Complete Tear Down And Rebuild.Where Would I Find The Torque Sequences And Settings In The Book?

Thank You For Reading And Any Help Would Be Great

Sincerely,

HI

Follow the book.. check in the index for torque spec's.

Becareful when putting the head gaskets on as one goes right side up and one well go on upside down. Look to make sure all the ports are open in the gasket before installing the heads or you well have overheating problems.

any decent 1/2 inch drive foot pound tq wrench should do you..

take your time, Maybe read the book a couple of times before you start.

good luck
