its a 192 degree thermostat and i read in the haynes repair manual that the thermostat opening temperature should be from 185-205 degrees but now when i drive my temp gauge reaches well here's a picture of what the temperature stays at click on the link to view the picture-----%26gt; http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh206/camtheman88_2008/PICT0001.jpg and was also wondering what (opening temperature thermostat did or does the 1995 Z28 come with stock) please let me know if thats an alright temperature for a normal temperature?Hi i got a (1995 Z28 LT1 A4) anyways i recently replaced the thermostat with this one i bought from autozone?
everything looks normal to me, I wouldn't worry about it.
The pic is fuzzy but it looks ok,,,should run around 200 degrees or slightly lower when driving.Hi i got a (1995 Z28 LT1 A4) anyways i recently replaced the thermostat with this one i bought from autozone?
190 deg.

Looks normal to me.
The gauge should generally be straight up and down. IF its getting close to the red, youve got a problem. I believe that the 190 degree is stock. YOu might want to look into getting a lower temperature thermostat and fan sensor. If you get one that opens at 160 degrees, it will actually give you a little bit more horsepower.Hi i got a (1995 Z28 LT1 A4) anyways i recently replaced the thermostat with this one i bought from autozone?
