Digital Speedometer on 1992 Ford Aerostar reads Zero (0) at all speeds. Everything else works. Any ideas?

This had been operational when I purchased it used. I would guess a sensor in the transmission or something in the circuit. The Haynes Repair Manual does not show any diagnostics for the digital dash display and speedometer. The wiring diagrams are not detailed enough for a proper trace to any failing component that I have.



I would guess this may be a common problem for Ford mechanics to see.

i would have to say its a corroded wire or a shorted electrical component.
