Wiper Fluid not firing?

96 Eclipse RS. Wiper fluid is not firing. I checked the reservoir and the level of fluid is fine. What are the steps I should take to diagnose the specific problem? I have the Haynes Manual for my car, but it doesn't go over the location/repair of the Windshield Fluid System beyond the location of the filling reservoir.

The previous owner of the car emailed me a vague response; "Maybe the mechanic didn't reconnect the wires to the pump".Wiper Fluid not firing?
While you are outside with the hood open have someone try the washers. Do not start the car just turn the key and washers on and listen to hear if the pump running.

Watch out for spraying fluid because if the pump is running and there is a hose off you could end up wearing the fluid or even get in your eyes so watch out.

If the pump runs there may be a leak or a hose has become disconnected. see if you can find fluid dripping underneath the car after you have tried the pump a few times. This will give you a general area to try to locate the problem.

If the pump is ok and there are no leaks then it may be a clogged nozzle Take a small needle or common pin and use it to clean out the nozzle.

If the pump does not work then check the fuses. Check to see if you have power to the pump again with the key on and the washer turned on (not the wipers the washer).

If there is no power then check the switch.

If you have power at the pump then replace the pump.

Hope this helps.Wiper Fluid not firing?
I'm guessing the pump is shot on the windshield washer reservoir bottle. All you have to do is remove the battery, intake tube, then remove the reservoir bottle. Once it's loose you can pull up on it and and at the very bottom you'll see the pump. I can't remember if you can just disconnect it without it leaking everywhere but i doubt that's much of an issue.

It's either the pump, a clog (which is really unlikely) or the switch on the turn signal. It could even be a fuse, but if it was that easy you probably would have figured it out by now.

If you want you can im me and i'll go though testing the connections and the pump.Wiper Fluid not firing?
Take it down to your local garage. They'll find the problem and sought it out, they'll probably do it for free too I imagine.
