i have an repair manual but it is completely worthless. it is a haynes. i need to replace the water pump but do not know how to get to it.How do you remove an accessory drivebelt on a 87 tercel? which belt is it?
the water pump is located behind the plastic cover for the timing belt... if you don't know this then you should really think about letting a pro do the repair the 1.6l in your toyota is a interference motor meaning that if the timing is off the valves are down as the piston comes up and will allow the valves to get bent leaving you with a very expensive repair bill... try some one like masters mobile auto service they bring the shop to you.... give them a call at 404-942-8288
