Where is the IAC in a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt?

I Need to Find The IACV (idle air Control) but i can not i cant find anything on it picture or descriptions online even the Haynes repair manual doesn't mention it...or do they call it something else? Please i need help finding it ...and if i can clean it and how? MY car is 2005 Cobalt 2.2L sedan...,,

That should be on the throttle body housing look down it and it should be lose by more then likely the idle control sensor.The IACV can be removed and cleaned with a pipe cleaner brush and the proper spray.





Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way I've know and have heard that on those vehicles you can even unplug the IACV and no code or engine light will appear.So I'd want to make sure I knew a scan code and diagnostic was performed right before just replacing it, but you might be able to clean it and don't forget to clean out the area that that part sits in on the throttle body.Also the earlier models sitting at the u pick auto wreckers might have that exact part that you an remove and buy quite cheap.Where is the IAC in a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt?
I think the IAC is built into the throttle body on this model. I don't think it can be cleaned. Check with the dealer and see if there has been any recalls or TSB's (technical service bulletins) for your model.They will need your VIN number to check.Where is the IAC in a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt?
