1994 Toyota Tercel Transaxle/Differential?

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of how to replace the differential gears of a 1994 toyota tercel automatic transmission. I have the haynes repair manual but it only covers how to remove and install the transmission.

How much would new differential gears and or bearings cost (parts only) and are there any special tools required to change/repair these parts?1994 Toyota Tercel Transaxle/Differential?
they are not easy to get to, you have to pull th trans out to get to them. both of the half shafts are connected to the differential and the differential is either gear or chain driven..... this in not quite the job for an individual that is doing this in the drive way. i dont know if or where you can find the parts. either but the dealer might be a good place to start if you do go to that next step.1994 Toyota Tercel Transaxle/Differential?
of course you will have tp pull trans apart to do this and need special tools to take apart and reset clearances and so forth so unless you're ready for this have a trans shop do it for you but you can go to the library if you haven't done that already to find what you need but parts depending on new or after market can run about 150-200 dollars and the tools will run more than that and IF you don't get it right the first time are you ready to buy some parts over again compared to if the shop does it its under their warranty
